A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn bears a red ring. The Gut side should manually (without extra force) screw into the cut thread of a workpiece. If not feasible, the thread fails to meet desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can manually screw in up to two turns. Further screwing indicates the thread doesn't meet standards. A reference temperature of 20°C applies to workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request. Independent lab calibration follows set norms (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
