The Gutlehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand, without excessive force. If this isn't possible, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (i.e., it's defective). A reference temperature of 20°C applies to both workpieces and gauges. Upon request, VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate. The calibration, following specified standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI), takes place in an independent lab using IAC-Gewindescanner.
