A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side is marked with a red ring. The Gut side should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without extra force. If it doesn't, the thread is defective. The Ausschuss side can screw in up to two turns by hand. More than that indicates a defective thread. The reference temperature for parts and gauges is 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request. Calibration is done in an independent lab following set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescanner.
