A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side, marked by a red ring, should screw into the cut thread of a work piece by hand without extra force. If it doesn't, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can screw in up to two turns by hand. If it goes further, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. The reference temperature for work pieces and gauges is 20° Celsius. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request. Independent lab calibration follows set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescanner.
