Predicament by All in the Wild

In the heart of Aberdeen, Saskatchewan, witnessing the dance of predator and prey is never easy. Today was no exception. A snowy owl, my favorite subject, was perched atop a power pole, repeatedly flying down to the ground and back up. Intrigued by its unusual behavior, I ventured into the snow-covered field. To my surprise, the field was filled with mice, hidden in the swaths. The owl was hunting, waiting for its prey to emerge. Remarkably, it was quite comfortable with my presence, allowing me to capture this moment with my 600mm lens within just 15 minutes.
