This is an extruded aluminum lock with no-mar vinyl insert to protect track of metal horizontal sliding windows. Finish by tightening thumbscrew with pliers to securely lock windows in closed or ventilating positions. For vinyl windows use Prime-Line parts U 9809 or U 10547. Exercise caution and do not over tighten these locks and cause damage on your window track.
