The RackGold Slide-on Cage nuts, or clip-on nuts as they are sometimes referred to, slide onto tapped holes in open frame 2-post telco racks, and 4-post server equipment racks, giving you various threading options such as 12-24, 10-32, M6 or M5. Most 2-post networking relay racks use 12-24 threads, while Dell servers tend to use the 10-32 standard. Typically used for mounting of server equipment, rackmount shelves, switches, routers, patch panels and other networking, electronic and data equipment. They�re a faster, easier option than tapping holes or using snap on cage nuts. For a strong, secure fit, just slide a nut retainer over the edge of the rail, locking them into the pre-punched holes.
