Rare Kazuo Kawasaki Eyeglass Frame

Kazuo Kawasaki (Masunaga Optical) eyeglasses frame. Masunaga Optical is a traditional Japanese eyewear manufacturer founded in 1905.

● This is an MP-691 for sale.

● Of all Kazuo Kawasaki frames, the best-selling is probably the MP690. Many people use the MP690 as eyeglasses, but it was originally released as sunglasses.

The MP-691 (the frame for sale) was born as an eyeglasses frame while following that design.

The differences between MP-690 and 691 are:
MP-690 does not have a bend at the temple.
MP-691 has a slightly longer temple and a shallower curve. And it has a crank bend. (See photo 3)

The front curve of the MP-691 is also closer to flat. This is to match the difference in the curve between sunglass lenses and eyeglasses lenses (with prescription).

This is because the MP-690 was originally sunglasses and the MP-691 was regular eyeglasses.

Next, about the temples. The MP-690 has straight temples, and the MP-691 is a type that is worn along the ear (with a temple tip).

This depends on the wearer's preference and design preference.
