This is an offering of the "U.S. Navy Pea Coat, exact replica of the NAVAL CLOTHING FACTORY (early model)" from Real McCoy's. The McCOY'S pea coat uses double-cloth melton to reproduce the dense and sturdy feel of the early 20th century fabric. The old-fashioned buttons, engraved with 13 stars around an anchor, have also been reproduced. This is derived from the number of states when America gained independence in 1777. This is an early detail that disappeared in the early 40s. The dense melton fabric specializes in "cold protection" and is a superior PEA COAT proven on extremely cold ships. The size is the rare "40" size.
