- TO MAXIMIZE LIFE: 1) CRUCIAL Keep pH between 7.2 - 7.6 and alkalinity between 80 ppm - 120ppm. 2) Keep TDS below 2,000 ppm and do not use salt. 3) Keep the number setting low. 4) Maintain copper at 0.2 ppm and no higher. 5) Maintain phosphates at 200 ppb or lower.
