A unique beauty from the transition period between riders and cowboys!
Among the Lee "101-J Riders" denim jackets, this extremely rare 1945 model has appeared in "THE ARCHIVES."
The 101-J Riders is generally considered to have first appeared in 1946, but this particular jacket features the silhouette of a Riders jacket while all the buttons are donut buttons engraved with "Lee COWBOY."

[Evidence of the Post-War Transition]
1945, immediately after the end of the war, was a period of turmoil as Japan transitioned from a wartime to a domestic production system.
This jacket, likely produced during a time of material shortages, is thought to have been made by repurposing materials from the cowboy era, similar to the 101 Cowboy jeans of the same period.
It embodies the "unique beauty" that existed only during this "transition period."
