The included valve body components in this kit are designed to provide substantial gains in friction plate durability. With this kit installed, the friction torque capacity of the holding clutches and brakes in 2nd through 6th gear is increased by approximately 100% when the lock-up clutch is off and line pressure is at maximum. Since transmission removal is not required, install it before adding engine horsepower to prevent internal damage.
