This is a kit of 2 of our most popular style, 52957-O, complete heavy duty all metal Shipping Container Vents, since you must have at least 2 vents to effectively move air in and out of your container. Each louvered vent includes heavy duty screens to keep out rodents and bugs, Stainless Steel mounting hardware, Installation Instructions, and a Recommended Location Guide. These vents are specifically designed to be relatively easy to install to the standard corrugated side walls of shipping containers, with no welding required. Install one vent low on an exterior corrugated wall and the other high on the opposite corner wall. One of the main reasons why shipping containers make ideal storage containers is that their sturdy steel construction provides very good security for your stored goods. So, one of the main factors taken into consideration with the design of our vents is the preservation of this security. There are a few larger flat style vents available out there, at a much higher cost, that require cutting a much larger hole in your container which is then simply covered by an aluminum or plastic louver panel. But, if security for your goods is important to you, why would you cut a hole in your container large enough to allow someone to gain access to your stored goods by simply prying off an aluminum or plastic louver panel? A typical young adult can easily enter a container through as little as a 9” by 14” opening. Our vents provide more than enough air flow to ventilate your container and it is better to have multiple vents spread around your container, for better air circulation through the container interior, and to keep your container secure, than having a couple larger vents that, unlike our vents, also require you to give up valuable storage space inside so they aren’t blocked.
