EnvironMolds' SOSYL is a non-aqueous, VOC-free, HAP-Free solvent, devoid of petroleum distillates. It's a Hexamethyldisiloxane (CAS# 107-46-0) with a viscosity of 0.65cSt at 25°C. Compared to other VOC-exempt solvents, SOSYL evaporates swiftly, has a low flash point (-1°C), and a low boiling point (100°C), mimicking fast-evaporating solvents like naphtha, xylene, hexane, and toluene. It effectively removes various industrial oils, greases, fluids, and waxes from surfaces. SOSYL is federally VOC-regulation exempt, including California (CARB) and OTC regulations, and doesn't contribute to ozone-depletion or global warming. It's surface-compatible, won't attack plastics, rubbers, or vinyls, and lacks the strong odor of traditional solvents.
