In the era of Marlborough and Vauban, 'No Peace Without Spain' is a strategic board game that recreates the intense battles, sieges, and political upheaval that engulfed Western Europe for over a decade, determining the fate of the Spanish throne. Players take on the roles of the Habsburgs or Louis XIV's grandson, vying for control. Using a point-to-point map and a deck of 55 cards, players activate armies, engage in sieges, and experience historical events. Each turn represents a year, with leaders influencing the course of the war through their tactical and command capabilities. The game's battle system emphasizes team-based command, with notable leaders like the Duke of Marlborough, Prince Eugene of Savoy, and Marshals Villars, Vendome, and Berwick. Fortresses play a crucial role, with a simple siege table accounting for their defenses. Victory is achieved through automatic victory or final victory points after the 1713 turn.
