The Spears P445 series drain, waste, vent (DWV) flush cleanout tee is made of PVC, has hub connections on the main run ends and a female NPT connection on the branch, and has a cleanout port on the branch. It is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications. This flush cleanout tee fitting is T-shaped and has three ends to connect and branch two pipes on the main run and a cleanout port on the branch at a 90-degree angle from the middle of the tee. Pipe dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. “A” and “B” indicate the main run on the fitting, and “C” indicates the branch. The hub connections fit over the ends of male unthreaded pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow, and the National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded end on the branch connects to male NPT threads for a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for use in non-pressure residential drain, waste, vent (DWV) sanitary systems. PVC resists corrosion and chemicals, exhibits high strength, and weighs less than fittings made from metal. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. The fitting has an operating temperature range of 73 to 140 degrees F (23 to 60 C). This DWV flush cleanout tee complies with American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM) D2665 and ASTM D3311 for quality assurance, is National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard 14 certified to the Uniform Plumbing Code (NSF – U.P. Code) and NSF-dwv for quality assurance, and conforms with lead content requirements for "lead free" plumbing as defined by California and Vermont.
