The William Morris collection is a collaboration between Spode and the Father William Morris in England. William Morris was a designer and poet in the 19th century. The result of the industrial revolution in the 19th Century British Victorian Dynasty, all of the craftsmen who respect for their handicrafts were released in mass production. Morris creates beautiful home décor products, books, and other items while maintaining the work of artisans and longing for the Middle Ages. The idea of connecting the life and art of Morris (Arts and Crafts Movement) has significant impact on each country and became a source of modern design since the 20th century. Established in 1770, Spode is a leading British ceramic brand and is one of the four daimai kiln in England. It began in a pottery factory that was famous for its pottery town and was the first generation Spode, developed a technique of underpainting using copper-plate transfer technology, and was the first ever brand to complete "bone china technology" that was unfinished in the end of the 18th century. After that, the development of stoneware has been successfully developed with the best of both ceramic and porcelain. The "Blue Italian Series" was released in 1816 and is loved all over the world as a staple of Spode.
