The Royal Spring-Type Live Center boasts a distinctive, spring-loaded point that can shift axially to counteract workpiece thermal expansion. Ideal for machines lacking a tailstock, its spring-loaded system negates the need for hydraulic compensation. The Royal Spring-Type Live Center's low-profile head ensures excellent tool clearance. These live centers are backed by a +/- 0.0005" TIR or better guarantee. They feature two precision needle roller bearings and a custom thrust bearing to handle loads, along with multiple stacked springs to keep the live center point firmly seated in the workpiece center hole. Available in standard and extended points, straight-shank models are also offered for use in lower turrets on multi-tasking machines.
