Staffordshire Bone China Woods At Windsor Tea Caddy Lidded Ginger Jar 5" England

This is a vintage Woods of Windsor fine bone china potpourri jar, also commonly referred to as a ginger jar or tea caddy. Crafted in Staffordshire, England, it was produced for the Woods of Windsor brand, often featuring designs by Roy Kirkham Pottery.


The jar is decorated with an intricate bird of paradise motif, accompanied by a basket of fruit (including grapes and citrus) and floral patterns.

The jar features a removable, aerated lid with small holes, specifically designed for use as a potpourri jar to allow scents to escape.

Measures approximately 5 inches in height and 4.5 to 5 inches in width.

These jars were notably produced during the 1980s, carrying an Art Nouveau or Asian-inspired aesthetic.

While primarily intended for potpourri, it is also suitable for storing small items like candies or cotton balls, or used as a decorative tea caddy.
