SUN SURF Aloha Shirt
"SUN SURF" "ONE PUKA PUKA"
A rare item from the early 2000s. There are navy and green versions, but this is the popular red color.
In the summer, I wore it with baker pants, and in the fall, I tucked it into 45 khaki (chinos) and wore a jungle fatigue jacket over it.
It goes exceptionally well with the olive color of the US military.
Purchased on Rakuten for a retail price of 26,900 yen.
Although there's no size indicated, I think I bought a size L.
Worn about 5 times, washed carefully about 3 times.
Haven't worn it since the third wash.
It has shrunk to about a size M, so it won't shrink any further unless you put it in the dryer. Please rest assured.

Made in Japan
The Nisei soldiers in the US military are said to have had a great influence on establishing the status of Japanese Americans in the United States.
The 100th Infantry Battalion achieved numerous feats as a pioneer during World War II and received the most medals in US military history.
This work is a memorial item made in '52 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the formation of the same unit in 1942.
Their life on the battlefield is depicted with a comical touch, and the "Red Bull," the symbol of the 34th Infantry Division to which they were assigned, and the words "One Puka Puka" (Puka means hole in Hawaiian, meaning zero) which is the nickname of the 100th Battalion, are also used as motifs.
The original was created by "Holo Holo" led by Robert Takashige.
Founded in 1946, the brand's designs were handled by Mrs. Takashige, and it was a true local brand that only sold at US military bases and wholesalers on the island.
