It features a spring loaded setting pin for wood surfaces, a strong magnet for steel surfaces, and an adjustable hook to hang over beams or attach to nails. Its nylon cord extends and holds the bob at any length up to 14-1/2 feet, and then retracts into its case automatically when the job is done. Other features include a quick stabilizing endcap on the plumb bob, an internal flush pin for zero distance measurement, and tension adjustment pins to allow use of plumb bobs weighing 3.5- to 35 ounces.
