This is a new/sealed Tic-Tac-Ku, a strategic adaptation of Tic-Tac-Toe created by Mad Cave Bird Games . This Mensa Select award-winning game is played on a 3x3 grid where each cell is itself a Tic-Tac-Toe board.
Players take turns placing marbles on a 9x9 grid (made of nine 3x3 boards). A key strategic element is that the position of a player's move in one 3x3 grid determines which grid the next player must play in.
The game typically includes a solid wooden board and 81 marbles in two different colors. In the standard version, the goal is to be the first to get a Tic-Tac-Toe on any of the nine playing zones.
Recommended for ages 3 and up, it can be played by 2 to 4 players.
Tic-Tac-Ku can also be purchased as an "add-on unit" for those who already own the ColorKu (color sudoku) board, allowing them to use the same wooden base for both games.
