Daniel Schmid's dreamlike world, with its elegant visuals and unique fictional universe, has a fervent fanbase. This film depicts the ritual of a role-reversal banquet between master and servant held one night a year in the grand hall of a mansion, leading viewers into a magical experience. The setting is the hotel run by Schmid's grandparents, which later became the model for "Season of the Season." The cast includes Ingrid Caven, the muse of Schmid's works, and Peter Kern, who would later gain international fame in "La Paloma." Renato Berta, the cinematographer, worked with Schmid for the first time on this film.
