Guan Yin usually uses a willow branch to sprinkle the nectar, but here she is tipping the whole vase upon devotees as a blessing for physical and spiritual peace. Vitarka Mudra is a gesture that represents the transmission Buddhist teachings, and here Guan Yin has the middle finger and thumb touching each other to symbolize great compassion.
