When your polyester resin coating or layup is ready for sanding and finishing, our two-part TotalBoat Polyester Finishing Resin (also called surfboard resin) dries to the hard, tack-free surface that's just what you need. Used extensively for boat building, marine repair and restoration (especially fiberglass repairs), our polyester resin contains wax, so it cures to a hard finish that's ready to sand and finish with paint or gel coat. High-quality marine grade polyester resin is typically used for one-coat glasswork or as a final, tack-free, sealer coat over tacky polyester laminating resin. Durable polyester finishing resin is perfect for top-coating over wood, fiberglass, metal, and composites. Medium viscosity resin is easy to spread, provides fast wet out of fiberglass cloth and chopped strand mat (CSM), and minimizes dripping and sagging on vertical surfaces. The medium viscosity also prevents pattern transfer through gel coat finishes to help give you a smooth, attractive surface. Includes 1 bottle of MEKP (methyl ethyl ketone peroxide) hardener with each quart or gallon finishing resin.
