Watchful Bear stands quietly beneath the Northern Lights, alert and present. Inside the clear resin form, layered aurora colors flow around a miniature polar bear gazing upward, as if observing the sky in stillness.
This piece was carefully planned with a hand-drawn color map to guide the aurora layers while preserving the bear’s silhouette. The sculpture was built through multiple resin pours over several weeks, allowing the colors to settle naturally and create depth without clouding the scene.
The snowy base beneath the polar bear glows softly in the dark, and when paired with a light, the aurora tones illuminate from within, giving the sense of movement frozen in time.
