This is a U.S. Army M-43 all-in-one, a genuine military garment from the 1940s, specifically the late stages of World War II through the Korean War era.

The material is thick cotton herringbone twill (HBT), commonly used in military clothing at the time. HBT was adopted around 1941 as a substitute for 1930s blue denim and was replaced by cotton satin in the 1950s, making its period of use relatively short, approximately 10 years.

Features include a left chest flap pocket, large flap pockets on both hips, and a self-fabric belt at the waist. When the front is opened, the gas flap, often missing in other examples, is still present. This practical detail was designed to protect the wearer's skin from poisonous gas during WWII.

The garment uses 13-star metal buttons. The front features dot buttons with ventilation holes, showcasing a realistic military design intended for work units such as armored troops, maintenance personnel, and engineers.

With overall wear and fading, this piece has a fantastic feel that evokes real work use. It's a rare vintage item that, while rugged, still looks great in modern styling.
