"Vintage" 60's US Army Advisor ERDL "Invisible Leaf" Coverall

The term "Invisible Leaf" refers to the early model of the "ERDL" (commonly known as Leaf Pattern) camouflage worn by US Army advisors and special forces during the Vietnam War, popular among vintage markets and collectors. The tag and stencils have worn off due to wear, so it is offered at a reduced price.

In the mid-1960s, when ordinary soldiers were still wearing olive drab jungle fatigues, advisors from MACV (Military Assistance Command, Vietnam) and other units were the first to adopt this leaf pattern, which was developed to blend into the local jungle. Among them, the early pattern, known as "Lime Leaf," with its strong green color, exhibited amazing stealth in tropical vegetation, and was sometimes introduced with the nuance of "Invisible" to praise its performance. The individual items worn by advisors were often tailor-made locally, different from the standard issue, and "theater-made" specifications with removed rank insignia and unit patches can be seen. They feature a unique, bleeding-like print applied to thin ripstop or poplin fabric.

It is a piece that receives special treatment among 60's military items due to its rarity, as well as its value as a historical artifact.
