This fabulous dress by Alyce Designs is from around the 1980's. No fabric content tag. The top is crushed velvet. The ruffled bottom is taffeta. It has a back zip. The sleeves have elastic so can be worn off the shoulders. The top has stays on the sides from the waist up. The ruffled bottom has 2 layers. The hem edges have plastic stays, not sure of the sewing term but it's thin plastic cording which helps give it poof. There are 3 places where they are loose or coming out of the hem (last photos). Should be simple repair or they could be cut off. Otherwise it's like new. Marked size 6 but it's todays size 2. It fits my size 2 mannequin perfect. It measures 43" long. Laying flat seam to seam it's 16" across under the arms, 13" at the waist, 17" at the hips. Made in USA. I ship same or next business day.
