Here is a stunningly beautiful vintage hand-crocheted bedspread, which is made up of hundreds of hexagonal motifs, all painstakingly sewn together. The motifs are crocheted in a circular pattern with double crochet and popcorn stitches. I estimate there are over 500 motifs in this bedspread. I do not know its age but I would guess around the 1940s or 1950s. It is shown on a full (double) size bed and there is plenty of overhang on the sides. It measures approx. 96 by 82" and weighs almost 12 pounds. It is in pristine condition. I only found one tiny mark on one of the popcorn stitches. This would make an awesome wedding gift for someone who loves antiques!
