Billie Burke was an American actress best known for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. The postcard was published by Davidson Brothers London, with a photograph by Bassano. Burke had a naturally reddish-blonde hair color. Her father was an internationally known English clown named Billy Burke, who worked with P.T. Barnum's circus.
