The 'ENTRE' side of the tamper-proof plug gauge should be manually screwed (with minimal effort) into the machined thread of a part. If this isn't possible, the thread doesn't meet the requirements (= 'DOES NOT ENTER'). For machined parts and gauges, the reference temperature is 20° Celsius. As the manufacturer, VÖLKEL provides an in-house calibration certificate upon request (at an additional cost). Calibration is performed in an independent VÖLKEL measurement lab, following specified directives and standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) for each sample. Calibration is done using a thread scanner IAC.
- Test the ENTRE side of the tampon fileté: It should screw into the machined filetage by hand without excessive force
- If it doesn't fit, the filetage doesn't meet requirements (= N'ENTRE PAS)
- Reference temperature for machined parts and calibres is 20° Celsius
- VÖLKEL offers on-demand factory calibration certificate (at a price). Calibration is done in an independent VÖLKEL measurement lab following specified directives and norms (DIN, ISO, ANSI) using a filetage IAC scanner
