This is a reproduction of the "ECWCS Parka," also known as Layer 4, which is part of the first generation of the U.S. Army's "ECWCS" layering system, consisting of five layers.

ECWCS was officially adopted by the U.S. military in the late 1980s as a layering system for extremely cold climates, and is called the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. In addition to the parka, the system allows for the combination of synthetic fiber inner wear/liners according to the climate of the activity area, and has evolved into an innovative clothing system that can adapt to various climates through combinations.

The design adopts the wide neck and three-dimensional hood specifications of the early model, which is rare among GEN1 parkas. The large hood-integrated collar completely covers the mouth, increasing cold protection, and the characteristics of the early model are faithfully reproduced.

Storage includes flap pockets on both sides, a utility pocket on the left arm, and Velcro-closure inner pockets on both sides of the zipper. Ventilation zips are provided under the arms, allowing for temperature adjustment while wearing. Detailed details such as powder guards and drawcords to prevent wind and snow from entering.

PERTEX UNLIMITED, developed by the British company PERTEX for manufacturers other than existing outdoor manufacturers, is used for the outer fabric. The 3-layer shell of membrane and mesh records very high performance figures in domestic water repellency tests. Seam tape is also applied to the seams, making it a rainwear with excellent specifications.

It can be used as a light outer for spring and autumn, and you can get enough heat retention by wearing fleece innerwear in winter. It can be worn stylishly, so it will be useful for street, winter sports, and outdoor use.
