From the Manufacturer This extra heavy duty fiberglass extension ladder has a duty rating of 300 pounds (type IA). It is made of nonconductive fiberglass rails for added safety in case of electrical hazards. The rungs are aluminum slip-resistant Traction-Tred D rungs. Rungs are connected to the rails with Werner's exclusive Alflo rung joint connection for twist-proof performance. External guides at the top of the base section securely interlock rails. Rugged gravity spring locks operate smoothly. Base and fly sections separate easily to use the base section as a single ladder. Shu-Lok, durable rail shield bracket and shoe with slip-resistant pad and spur plate.
