- Excellent adhesion to difficult materials – WEST SYSTEM epoxy bonds tenaciously to fiberglass, metals, ceramics, many plastics, and hard-to-bond woods, including tropical and domestic hardwood species.
- Flexible strength with defined stiffness – More flexible than standard epoxy resins or polyester, yet stiffer than adhesive sealants. G/flex forms structural bonds with a modulus of elasticity of 150,000 PSI to absorb shock and vibration.
- 1:1 mix ratio with extended working time – Mixed 1:1 by volume, this epoxy resin and hardener provides 46 minutes pot life at 72°F and 60 to 75 minutes open working time for alignment and assembly.
- Reliable cure in marine and cold conditions – Initial cure in 3 to 4 hours, workable cure in 7 to 10 hours, and full cure in 24 hours. Suitable for marine epoxy repairs, cold weather epoxy use, and bonding damp or wet surfaces.
