Vintage aircraft directional gyro (heading indicator), model AN 5735-1. Gyroscopic flight instrument used in U.S. Army and Navy aircraft during World War II. Panel-mounted cockpit instrument displaying heading from 0 to 35 (representing 0–350 degrees). Includes the lower caging knob used to realign the gyro during operation. Marked by Sperry Gyroscope Co., Brooklyn, New York.

Condition: As found / untested. Shows heavy surface wear, paint loss, oxidation, and grime consistent with age and prior service use. Glass is intact and internal markings are visible. Functionality has not been tested and the instrument is sold as-is for restoration, display, or historical aviation collection.

A solid original WWII-era flight instrument with strong military and aviation collector appeal.
