The Yonex ASTREL 105 3rd Gen Tennis Racquet is built for advanced recreational players who place an emphasis on a lightweight frame for the utmost control and power. The ASTREL 105 is built to be more flexible and comfortable than a typical game improvement racquet. Yonex incorporates three different dampening agents: Vibslayer Carbon, Shock-less Grommets, and Vibration Dampening Mesh. VDM is a stretchy mesh material wrapped around the graphite inside the handle to filter out unwanted vibrations. In this version, Yonex added VDM in the racquet shaft for added comfort. The grommets in the upper portion of the hoop have an oval shape while the side grommets are enlarged to create more pocketing, string movement, and power.
