A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn bears a red ring. The Gut side must screw into a cut thread of a workpiece by hand, without extra force. If not, the thread doesn't meet requirements (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can screw in up to two turns by hand. Beyond that, the thread fails to meet requirements. A reference temperature of 20°C applies to workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request. Calibration occurs in an independent lab following set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescanner.
