The thread gauge ring should not screw onto the workpiece's thread by hand (without extra force) more than two threads. If it can be screwed on more than two threads, the thread does not meet the desired standards (rejected). Rejected gauge rings are marked red. A reference temperature of 20°C applies to both workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL, as the manufacturer, can provide a factory calibration certificate upon request. Calibration is performed in an independent testing lab following the specified standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC thread scanners.

• Hand Tightening Limit: The Gewindelehrring should not screw onto the workpiece's thread more than two turns by hand
• Thread Quality Check: If the Lehrring can be screwed on more than two turns, the thread does not meet the desired standards (Ausschuss)
• Identification: Ausschuss-Lehrringe are marked in red
• Reference Temperature: The reference temperature for both workpieces and gauges is 20°C
